I notice this on my way home this afternoon. The evidence of the Saint Paul Police Mounted Patrol is in the neighborhood. This actually brings a smile. I love horses and I enjoy seeing them on their companions patrolling events, like today’s historic homes tour.

In other news, I am embarking on a pilgrimage of sorts. It has become painfully apparent the I have no idea, what I want to do. I know I want to help. There is a problem though. I seem to lack passion for anything. I am just finishing No Man is an Island – Thomas Merton and next in the queue is The Alchemist – Paulo Coelho I am praying and meditating on my contribution and the fears I have that interfere with me making a bold move for my own benefit. I will be making updates along the way sharing and soliciting for suggestions and experience from all who care to contribute.

“You can call it fall if that’s what you please…” Barney Song
I’ll leave you all with that for now except for my musical thought for this post.

Wanting to help is the beginning and from there its one step at a time. Its the little things that over time take shape.

Thomas Merton has a delicate way of pointing out where I can be better. I like it

Heres a quote I I love by Pastor T.D. Jakes, “If you can’t figure out your purpose, figure out your passion. For your passion will lead you right into your purpose.” I am also firm believer that if something is your purpose you will keep coming back to it and fine tuning it until you can see it in all its glory. I absolutely love The Alchemist. I re-read it once a year. I also live in St Paul and the tree in my backyard has announced Fall in a big way the last few days. 🍂

I think lack of passion is okay if this is what shows up for you. I feel for myself sometimes I don’t rest enough and lack of passion usually means for me to slow down. So I do. I don’t think there are any rules or a time table you have to complete things by so enjoying your passionless time is a good time to really ask yourself what Now? I’m doing the same I’ve found that flowing with God we often don’t know what Now or what’s next. I’m okay with not knowing now. I’m a reformed planner so this is a f step for men letting go. Oh also I feel that passion comes back when you need it. Maybe 🤗🙏🏼🦋💛
